Recognize that you are a sinner.
Faith Groups are an important part of Quincy Faith; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our small groups. Groups allow you to meet other members and develop relationships that will spur your relationship with God. As Quincy Faith grows, groups allow us to “stay small” and connected. Believe that Jesus is the son of God who died for you.
You must believe that Jesus is the Son of God and He died for your sins and He died in your place. After death, three days later He came back to life making a way for your sin to be forgiven and you to have a right relationship with God! 1 Peter 3:18 says, "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God...."
The word "repent" means "to change your thinking and your direction." You were once the Lord of your life, doing whatever you desired, but now you submit to God and surrender your life to Him. You must be willing to turn away from the things that displease God. The Bible tells us in Acts 3:19, "Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."
It is essential that you come to Jesus as you are now. Don't try to "clean up your life" before you come to God. Instead, choose to follow Him and allow Him to do the "cleansing." That’s it. You surrender your life to Him, choose to follow Him and He completely changes you!
